Still tired after Sunday I got out at around 11 for around 3hrs.

Although it felt windy, diirection had turned more westerley than sunday and was straight over the peninsula and gusty. Decided to rig the 5.8 and tack up to the north arm where the wind would hopefully be a bit more constant after a clean fetch.

Once I got upto the church the wind was a lot cleaner funelling down the north arm. Headed up as far as the water tower so that I could reach beteen the trout farm on the peninsula and about halfway along the dam. Next to the trout farm was perfect for starboard gybing practice as it was glassy smooth. Managed a few planing strap to strap gybes (normally a step gyber) and the fastest duck gybes ever!!!!

Although very cold (numb fingers at the end of May!!) it was worth going out again if just for the gybing.

Only a few others out from Whitwell which was a suprise.
